What led you to work for PETA?

I am a very bubbly and intuitive person who thrives in organisations that make a tangible difference. My passion for impactful work led me to PETA. I have always been drawn to charities, and after reviewing PETA's goals and vision, I was ecstatic about the opportunity to work for a company that prioritises its learners. My diverse background in various industries, has equipped me with a unique perspective and a strong foundation for my role at PETA.

What is your role at PETA and what drives you to do what you do?

I work as a Project Manager at PETA, overseeing the delivery of engineering training, initially for the MABWAY project. What drives me is the opportunity to contribute to the development of future engineers and seeing the direct impact of our training programs. The satisfaction of knowing that our efforts help shape skilled professionals who will make a difference in their fields is incredibly rewarding.

What knowledge/experience do you draw upon for your role?

Having worked in many industries, from the public sector to FMCG’s and healthcare, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role in education. One of my key strengths is my ability to implement processes that align with organisational needs. My diverse background allows me to approach challenges with a well-rounded perspective and find effective solutions.

How do you approach your role on a day-to-day basis? What skills are required?

On a day-to-day basis, I am always ready to address issues and put out fires as they arise. Being a Project Manager requires the ability to think on your feet, communicate effectively, and keep the team informed. My approach involves proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and maintaining a collaborative environment to ensure smooth project execution.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

Outside of work, I am passionate about baking. I love baking, creating new recipes and sharing my culinary creations with others. Additionally, I enjoy content creation, which allows me to combine my love for baking with my creative skills.

Honesty, transparency, and hard work are core values that I hold dear. I believe in being truthful and open in all my interactions, and I am committed to putting in the effort required to achieve excellence. These values guide me both personally and professionally, ensuring that I contribute positively to my team and organisation.
