Investing in lift truck training to maintain excellence

Article summary: At PETA, we pride ourselves on our quality lift truck and mechanical handling training, and we’re well-known for it in the southern region. We’re pleased to announce that we’re now investing in two new vehicles to further enhance our offering.

These trucks - the Mitsubishi FB16ANT (Counterbalance) and the Mitsubishi RB14N2L (Reach) - will ensure our training is as up-to-date as possible and in-line with the equipment today’s operators are using in the workplace.

We have counterbalance and reach trucks that we currently use to deliver training from Novice level right up to Instructor level, but we’ll be trading these two vehicles in when we receive the new ones. All of our equipment is well-maintained and used for training purposes only to ensure it remains in tip top condition.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest all our profits back into the business, and this has allowed us to update our lift trucks at this time. We’ve partnered with Alto Handling to source these vehicles and will take delivery of them in April.

This investment will ensure that our delegates continue to receive training that is relevant and as close to a real-life scenario as possible, resulting in high pass rates of the required operator practical and theory tests. We’re pleased to share that our current pass rate for these courses is 100% and this is something we strive to maintain.

Our suite of  lift truck and mechanical handling courses can be delivered either at clients’ premises or at our own site to suit our clients’ preferences and requirements. If you opt for the training to take place at your own premises, it will be undertaken using your own equipment and in the environment your team works in on a day-to-day basis.

Regardless of where the training takes place, the course content and the end assessments will be the same. These courses are very hands-on and practical, but there will also be a theoretical element to each course to promote full understanding and to ensure readiness for the end assessments, which vary from course to course.

Our suite of courses, which are offered on a range of dates as well as company-sponsored options, include:
