We specialise in bespoke training; this means that we can tailor training to meet the exact requirements of your business, whatever these may be. We’re agile to our customers’ requirements and will work with you to identify your training needs and guide you to the right solution for your business and your staff.
We’ll start with a blank canvas and design a programme that is personalised to your business, covering all the areas that you need it to. We can increase knowledge, help you navigate change and plug skills gaps, enabling you to achieve your business goals.

Our professional coaching service allows us to support business owners and their employees on both a personal and professional level, whether that’s with overcoming individual challenges, undertaking leadership development or achieving more positive outcomes.
Following an initial consultation, your dedicated Business Coach will work with you to create a bespoke coaching package that meets your requirements and those of your employees, ensuring it provides you with the highest quality support and greatest return on your investment. You can choose from our Gold, Silver and Bronze services depending on the amount of support you require.
Flexible training options
When it comes to delivery, we’re completely versatile, putting you in the driving seat. We’re happy to host you at our modern, Portsmouth-based training and conference centre or we can come to your workplace and deliver the training there if you wish. We can deliver the training virtually over Zoom or Teams if that’s your preference - and we can even adopt a blended learning approach and do a bit of each.
Scheduled courses
Management and Leadership
We offer everything from one-day workshops to medium length courses lasting 3-6 days and longer-term programmes spanning several months. Our one-day courses and workshops will give you an overview and insight into the topic and get you thinking along the right lines to trigger ideas and increase knowledge. Our courses that are delivered over a number of days or weeks, will go into more depth and really get you to apply the principles to your own role which can be extremely useful for understanding and embedding what you’ve learned. Our longer programmes - namely our Chartered Management Institute (CMI) programmes - are offered as a Certificate at Level 3 or Level 5 and will result in a formal qualification upon completion.
Personal Development
Our range of half-day, one-day and two-day courses and workshops focus on learning specific skills, giving delegates the confidence to effectively tackle new projects and deal with any situations and circumstances that may present themselves. Key learning areas include wellbeing, delivering presentations, communicating effectively, assertiveness skills and time management.
Business Improvement and Quality Management
These courses are designed to help you improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your business by streamlining your processes to ensure working practices flow more smoothly. Our project management course will enhance delegates’ knowledge to enable them to perform better across the board. Our change management course will equip those responsible for navigating a period of change with the skills to plan and implement changes effectively. We even offer a course for those tasked with conducting audits to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, enabling them to successfully conduct a full audit of an organisation’s quality management system.
Customer Service and Sales
Creating loyalty and building long-lasting customer relationships is the key to maintaining a successful business. Our courses will teach you how to differentiate yourself from the competition and provide first-class customer service that will have customers returning time and time again.
HR and Employment Law
Supporting staff and protecting your business is the core aim of these courses. Understanding the recruitment process and how to interview candidates effectively is crucial to selecting the right person for the role. Effective appraisals ensure that your employees are progressing and developing whilst also achieving all that you want them to for your business. Our data protection and GDPR, employment law and equality and diversity courses will equip you with the knowledge to operate your business safely and fairly.
Apprenticeships
If you have a skills gap within your business or you’re looking to expand your team, an apprenticeship could offer the solution you’re looking for. You can choose an apprenticeship in an area in which you have a need for additional staff and tailor that programme to suit the exact requirements of your business.
At PETA, we’ll work with you to ensure that the apprenticeship covers the key areas of learning that you need it to, while you provide the on-the-job training in the workplace. For those new to apprenticeships, we can offer a high level of support to ensure you are giving your apprentice all they need to succeed. We even offer a free* half-day Apprentice Coaching and Mentoring Workshop to equip you with the knowledge you’ll need to mentor and support your apprentice throughout their programme. (*One free place per PETA employer, per year.)

If you choose to partner with us, we'll provide a comprehensive apprentice recruitment service, which includes:
- Your own recruitment consultant from our experienced engagement team, offering support in candidate selection
- Full job description and advertisements on national advertising boards, social media and the PETA website
- Pre-interview selection and candidate screening
- Interview support and follow-up for candidates and employers
- Initial assessment of skills, including Maths and English
It might not cost you a penny…
Thanks to the Apprenticeship Levy and Co-funded models for smaller businesses, 95% to 100% of the apprentice training costs will be government-funded. This means that training a new member of staff or upskilling an existing one could cost you nothing, or very little, which is a huge incentive.
The Apprenticeship Levy was introduced in 2017 to create national funding for apprenticeships and to enable businesses of all sizes to implement their own apprenticeship programmes.
