PETA's Macmillan Coffee Morning 2026

Yesterday, our team came together once again for our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, and what a fantastic way it was to start the day.

The morning was filled with delicious homemade treats and a shared commitment to supporting an incredibly important cause. Events like these are always a great reminder of what can be achieved when people come together. It was a lovely start to the day and for many of us meant cake for breakfast too... an added bonus!

We were treated to an impressive selection of homemade bakes, including:

  • Rocky Road
  • Chocolate Fudge Cake
  • Lemon Drizzle
  • Coconut Macaroons
  • Caramel Millionaire Shortbread
  • Biscoff Cheesecake
  • Slimming World Friendly Banana Bread
  • The Fridge No Bake Dome Extravaganza
  • Guinness Cake

A huge thank you goes to everyone who took the time and effort to bake something for the event. The standard was incredibly high!

Our judges, Beth Bridgen and Ryan Thackaberry, certainly had the toughest job of the morning, carefully tasting their way through all of the fantastic entries before deciding on this year's winner. With so many brilliant bakes on offer, it was no easy decision!

Congratulations to Hamizah Rahman, whose fantastic Red Velvet Cake was crowned this year's winner. A very well-deserved achievement amongst some strong competition.

Whilst the cakes were undoubtedly a highlight, the morning was about much more than sweet treats. Together, we raised both money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to support the incredible work they do for people living with cancer and their families.

It was also wonderful to see so many colleagues taking a few moments out of their morning to come together, catch up, enjoy a treat, and support a cause that means so much to so many people. The event was a great example of the collaboration and teamwork spirit that exists across PETA.

Finally, thank you to everyone who baked, donated, volunteered, judged, and joined us throughout the morning. Your support helped make the event such a success, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part.
