Following continued success and growth, PETA are now looking for an experienced Strategic / Sales Account Manager to join our team in North Harbour, Portsmouth. This role offers a blend of home based and office-based work (minimum office attendance is 2 days per week).

Your Role

Joining our established Strategic Account Management Team, your role will be split 80% account management and 20% new business sales.

Account Management - you will be responsible for engaging with an allocated customer base to promote the services of PETA Ltd, focusing on the growth of service deliverables and revenue from each customer.    You will be required to develop an understanding of the working relationship between PETA Ltd and each client, understanding the entire breadth of the client’s organisation, and matching PETA Ltd Services to the organisations potential training needs.

New Business Sales – You will be expected to launch and manage a campaign of new business acquisition on a dedicated day each week, working through a structured campaign strategy.   This could be based upon a specific industry, geographical location, or oriented around one of our flagship training programs we run throughout the year.

  • A proactive approach to sales with a recognition that productivity is a key factor in strong sales return
  • Experience of mapping accounts in detail
  • Experience in both solution sales and push/product sales.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to present confidently to senior level stakeholder
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.

The job holder is responsible for engaging with the Company’s current customer base to promote its services, focusing on the growth of service deliverables and revenue.   Understanding the working relationship with and the entire breadth of each customer’s organisation, and providing appropriate training services to match the customer’s needs.


Essential requirements for this role:

  • GCSE Maths and English – Grade C or above                   
  • Typewriting/word processing skills to a proficient level (Level 3)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Customer Service Level 2/3
  • Must be a confident communicator (face-to-face and on the telephone)
  • Sound interpersonal skills                 
  • A professional appearance
  • The ability to prioritise demanding workloads


Car Parking - 

Free on-site car parking.

 Annual Leave -

The company leave year commences 1st January and your leave entitlement is 34 days which includes 8 public holidays (Pro rata for part time working).  Annual leave will increase dependent on length of service rising to 38 days including 8 bank holidays.

Sickness Absence -

The company operates a discretionary non-contractual Occupational Sick pay Scheme and subject to your length of service.

Life Insurance -

Non-contributory Death in Service life assurance – up to four times annual salary payable

Scottish Widows Pension -

The company operates a pension auto enrolment scheme through Scottish Widows.  This is a pension salary sacrifice scheme whereby employees are automatically enrolled after the first three months of their employment.  Currently contributions are 4% from the employee and 4% from the employer.  The National Insurance saving on salary sacrifice that the company would normally benefit from is also paid into the employee’s pension.  This is currently 13% calculated on the salary sacrifice.
