Due to continued business growth, we are now looking to expand our team through to recruitment of new Instructors at our specialist engineering centre in Havant. We are currently recruiting for individuals who specialise in delivering machining, CNC, mechanical or maintenance training.
Your New Role
Joining our team as an Engineering Instructor or Lecturer, you will be responsible for providing high quality maintenance/mechanical training to young learners, apprentices, and corporate clients. In your new role, your duties will include.
- Teaching and mentoring individuals technical engineering skills
- Develop and prepare appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans for the subject
- Plan, prepare and undertake assessments of competence against the awarding body standard
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork relating to training and assessments as well as company business is completed on time and accurately
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to corporate clients
- Ensure the immediate reporting of accidents

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The job holder is responsible for managing the training, personal development, employment opportunities and success of clients, ensuring the service delivered meets standards required by PETA, Education and Skills Funding Agency, Local Authorities and awarding bodies used in the delivery of the training/assessment.

To be successful as an Engineering Instructor or Lecturer, you will require the following skills and qualifications:
- Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Full driving licence and use of own car
- NVQ/QCF Assessor qualification
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of working in a learning environment
- Good understanding of apprenticeship frameworks
Please Note: As you will be working with learners from 16 years plus through to clients attending our commercial courses, the ability to relate to and communicate well with a wide age range is crucial. A DBS Registration and Disclosure is required.

Annual Leave - The company leave year commences 1st August and your leave entitlement is 34 days which includes 8 public holidays (Pro rata for part time working). Annual leave will increase dependent on length of service rising to 38 days including 8 bank holidays.

Life Assurance - Non-contributory Death in Service life assurance – up to four times annual salary payable
Company Pension - The company operates a pension auto enrolment scheme through Scottish Widows. Currently contributions are 4% from the employee and 4% from the employer. The National Insurance saving on salary sacrifice that the company would normally benefit from is also paid into the employee’s pension. This is currently 13% calculated on the salary sacrifice.
