Effective Interviewing Skills

This course which was designed specifically for a recruitment company that were looking to enhance the skills, knowledge, understanding and confidence in using competency based interviewing techniques.  They were keen to select and recruit the right person for the job role whilst ensuring a fair and transparent process.  Effective questioning techniques was key to this piece of work to ensure the employer minimised their recruitment costs and selected the right person first time.

Employee Representative Group Training

Also known as the Employee Consultative Committee, this training was designed to give the Employee Representatives of the business awareness of their role and responsibilities.  The session also covered required behaviours and communication styles, including selecting appropriate items for the agenda and challenge decisions in a positive and constructive manner.

Disability Awareness Training

Designed specifically for a public transport provider with employees in a face-to-face customer service role, this session ensured delegates were aware of the Equality Act 2010 and Regulation (EU) No. 1177/2010.  The half-day session covered barriers faced by disabled persons and people with reduced mobility, the role and needs of recognised assistance dogs, how to deal with unexpected occurrences and how to develop interpersonal skills and methods of appropriate communication with people with hearing, visual or speech impairments.

Dignity and Respect Training

Briefing sessions for managers and key members of the organisation were arranged to provide them with an overview of the key points behind dignity and respect.  The sessions focused on recognising the importance of appropriate communication and engaging in positive working relationships to build a harmonious, productive working environment.  Emphasis was placed on critical legal obligations and what impact these would ultimately have for the business.
