Lewis Brown

Learning and Development Coach

"I value sincerity and openness - but this must be backed up with humour and fun."

What is your role at PETA and what drives you to do what you do?

I am a Learning and Development Coach, helping the apprentices to the best that they can do and passing on my knowledge and experience.

What knowledge and experience do you draw upon for your role?

I have previously worked in a 1st and 2nd line ICT support capacity for 16 years and recently achieved my Level 3 ICT Infrastructure Technician qualification with PETA. I have always been involved in training with each of my previous employers and this led me to make the move from supporting the users of IT to supporting technicians of the future.

How do you approach your role on a day-to-day basis? What skills are required?

There is a HUGE amount of organisation that goes into arranging the appointments with my learners, as I need to make sure that they are all met within a specific time frame and this also reflects the amount of help that they individually require to succeed.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

Helping people and raising my children to be decent people.

What are your personal values, and what is important to you?

I value sincerity and openness - but this must be backed up with humour and fun.
