"Since working for PETA, I have broadened my horizons and thought about different career paths."

What is your role at PETA and what drives you to do what you do?

Conference Centre Assistant. I make sure the delegates and learners coming into centre are looked after and happy, whether that is greeting them with a smile or having their rooms set up perfectly so they can get straight into learning and get the full potential out of the day. Coming into work each day and making people smile when they first walk in the door.

What knowledge or experience do you draw upon for your role?

I studied People Work and Society at the Open University and I am currently studying Early Childhood Learning and Childhood Psychology at the Open University. Since working for PETA, I have broadened my horizons and thought about different career paths. Many years working in hospitality has built up my skills perfectly for this role. Being able to converse with all diverse types of people the same way.

How do you approach your role on a day-to-day basis? What skills are required?

With a calm attitude and a smile.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

I am passionate about my family, learning and developing my studies.

What are your personal values, and what is important to you?

I believe a small amount of kindness goes a long way. It is important to be kind to everyone.
