Apprenticeship and Employer of the Year Award finalists revealed!

Article summary: With just a few days to go until we celebrate our Apprenticeship and Employer of the Year Awards, we’re excited to reveal those who have been shortlisted for each category!

It was extremely tough to decide on the finalists as all the entries were strong and every entrant had a range of merits. We’re looking forward to welcoming our finalists and their colleagues/families to our event at the Royal Maritime Club in Portsmouth on Friday 24 June.

As these awards were not able to take place for the past two years due to the pandemic, we’ve gone all out for 2022 by adding four business awards to the event to make this a bumper celebration!

Nominations were invited throughout March and April. Those for the apprentice awards were made by PETA’s Learning and Development Coaches, who worked in partnership with the apprentices’ employers to complete the application form together for submission. The nominated apprentices were those who the coaches and employers believed have achieved above and beyond what was expected of them.

For the business award categories, companies nominated themselves by selecting the category they believed applied to them and completing the application, giving evidence where requested.

The finalists were selected by the judging panel, which was made up of members of the PETA senior management team. Shortlisted apprentices have been given an additional two free seats at the dinner to enable their employer and a family member or colleague to accompany them. The business award finalists have been invited to book their own places at the ceremony.

The evening itself will commence with drinks, followed by a three-course dinner, with the award presentations after the meal. Winners will receive certificates and trophies to mark their achievement.
