Did you know that just 16.5% of engineers are female in the UK?
International Women in Engineering Day is an annual event celebrating the achievements of female engineers throughout the globe. Now in its 11th year, INWED is bigger than ever. This international awareness campaign allows the celebration of the work female engineers are undertaking and how they are assisting in the STEM future.
We are excited to host a brand new event this year to celebrates this. Our event will be taking place on Monday 24th June between 9:00 - 12:00, with the theme for this year being #enhancedbyengineering.
Our event is open to anyone interested in coming along, we'd love to see as many of our customers and apprentices in attendance, a full outline of the morning can be found below:
9:00 - Arrival and welcome from PETA's CEO Fiona Stilwell
9:15 - A talk from Jemma Ibbotson at Safran Helicopter Engines UK
9:45 - Networking
10:00 - Break
10:15 - Q&A with a panel of speakers
11:00 - Bitesize learning session
11:45 - Conclude with information about our new First Line Leadership in Engineering course and PETA's commitment to EDI in the future.
