The way to get Microsoft accreditation has changed – here’s what you need to know

Microsoft accreditation has always been a vital way for Microsoft’s most capable partners to be easily identified by customers, ensuring business provide the highest standard of service. From 3 October 2022, the Gold and Silver competencies have been replaced by 6 new Solutions Partner Designations, as part of the changes to the Microsoft Cloud Partner Programme.

The new designation areas are:

• Infrastructure
• Modern Work
• Security
• Data & AI
• Digital & App Innovation

Former Gold and Silver partners will need to qualify for the new designation areas to retain partner status and customer-facing badges.

These new accreditations allow businesses to showcase a more specific area that they have technical competencies in. Partners must score a minimum of 70 or higher in the new capability scoring system to qualify as a ‘solutions partner’ in each of the designation areas.

Businesses who were Gold or Silver partners as of 30 September 2022 will retain their legacy benefits until their next anniversary date.

At PETA, we currently offer the following certifications for organisations to be able to achieve the Solutions Partner for Modern Work designation:
