Our annual AZ Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and successes of our apprentices, employers and PETA staff over the past year. Now in their 3rd year, the AZ Awards have grown to become PETA's biggest event of the year, bringing together over 200 apprentices and employers for a night of celebrating the best of the best.
On Friday 28th June 2024, we will welcome guests to Portsmouth Guildhall for a spectacular evening including a 3-course meal and an inspiring guest speaker.
The AZ Awards are named after our founder, Alex Zemenides, who passed away in 2023. Alex's mission was to fix the skills shortages in the local area, ensuring businesses have the opportunity to develop their current and future workforces through industry standard training programmes.
More than 50 years later, we proudly celebrate the continuation of Alex’s legacy with the AZ Awards alongside our valued partners, who make it possible for us to achieve our vision - to build the next generation of business leaders, technical experts and engineers that put training and career development at the forefront of business prosperity.

- Business Apprentice of the Year

- Overall Apprentice of the Year (decided from one of the other category winners)
Business Awards
Employers can put themselves forward for the awards below, via this application form.
- Best Apprenticeship Employer Award (SMEs - up to 250 employees)
- Best Apprenticeship Employer Award (Corporates - over 250 employees)
- Rising Star Award (An employee who was previously an apprentice and has progressed and excelled through the organisation)
- Mentor of the Year Award (An employee who has gone above and beyond to support an apprentice)
PETA Staff Awards
Our PETA Staff Awards are back for 2024! Learners will be able to nominate for the 2 awards below, and the nomination form has been shared with learners in their classes and through their Bud accounts.
