Our Mate to Manager course has been running since 2016 and is consistently oversubscribed, making it a PETA bestseller.
The course is aimed at individuals who have recently transitioned into a management position – or even those who may already be in management – and teaches how to deal with the transition from being a ‘mate’ with former colleagues, to managing the team that they were previously part of.
Facing challenges such as how to create new boundaries, how to deal with team members who cross the line, handling interruptions and re-prioritising the workload are some of the topics that are covered in the 1-day course, which is led by instructor Tim Leonard.
In order to ensure the learned skills can be applied and practiced in the workplace, delegates receive a workbook full of resources to take away with them so they can refer back to the course content at any point.

After discussions on how the course can be developed for individuals to take the next step in their leadership journey, we are very pleased to be announcing the launch of Manager to Leader.
The new course will help managers to unlock their leadership potential and equip them with the tools to inspire and empower their teams to perform at their best. Managers will learn to effectively lead high-performing teams and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.
A key way in which this course differs from Mate to Manager is that individuals will receive personalised 1-2-1 coaching sessions after completion of the course, to consolidate their learning and apply the skills into the workplace. The sessions will take place at weeks 2 and 4 after the 1-day course, to further support learning after completion of the initial training.
