"PETA have been training the staff of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham on our new customer care focus which all staff need to attend, called 'Done in One'. This is a one day course for managers, looking at customer service both internally and externally. The training delivered was of a facilitative style using accelerated learning techniques. It also had the added unique intervention of embedding the skills using actors through Forum Theatre to act out carefully scripted scenarios. The managers then say how they feel about the scenarios and what is right or wrong with the situation. The feedback we get from our staff has been very positive. Taking a day away from the office is not something staff really want to do but once they have attended they tell me it is the best training day they have been on. The tutor/facilitator has become our tutor of choice. PETA staff are always helpful and a joy to work with, they always listen to what you want and gives very positive and honest advice."

"PETA recently organised and delivered an Appraisal Skills workshop for our Directors and Management Team. PETA ensured that our needs were listened to and understood prior to the training and incorporated the Keystone appraisal process into the session upon request, in preparation for the Company to roll out the procedure in June 2011. "Styropack (UK) Ltd have been a member of PETA Limited for approximately 10 years, and we continue to use them as a first point of contact for any Health and Safety advice, assistance and training. Approximately 5 years ago I commenced my training in Health and Safety with PETA when I attended the NEBOSH Certificate course held over a 12 week period. It had been a long time since I had been in the situation of attending this level of classroom training, the thought of revising and sitting exams at the end of it was quite daunting. The team at PETA worked with me, giving me the level of knowledge required, excellent notes and handouts, as well as building my confidence to proceed with it to a successful conclusion.

Since completing this training they have continued to support me in all aspects of Health and Safety. They are always willing to attend any of the Styropack sites whether in Scotland, England or Wales, are very reliable and are always well prepared for the task ahead when arriving on site. The H & S team cover a wide range of specialist fields which have enabled us to use them for Noise Surveys, Machine Guarding Advice etc.

PETA have assisted us with in-house training in such areas as Managing Safely, Safety for Engineering Supervisors, Manual Handling, Train the Trainer (providing PowerPoint presentations, course notes, booklets which are now very successfully used by our on-site Manual Handling Trainers). We are currently in the process of arranging on site Workshop Equipment Safety Training for delivery at some of our sites.

Styropack employees also attend the standard training courses that are run at the PETA Training Centre in Cosham, these have included First Aid At Work, Fork Lift Truck Instructors training, Train the Trainer, Supervisors Development to name but a few. The facilities at the Training Centre are excellent and the lunches are not to be missed! PETA Ltd continues to provide us with an excellent service, in a professional and friendly manner at a very cost effective price."
